DVD Photo Montage
A DVD Photo Montage is a great way to preserve your old photos, 35mm slides and negatives while at the same time preserving the memories of your Hawaiian vacation, that special surprise birthday party or other special occasions. Your photos are scanned into our editing systems using high quality scanners, and adjusted for color, tint and brightness. We then transform your pictures into a captivating DVD Photo Montage, complete with customized theme background for the DVD menu, including special effects, transitions, custom titles, captions, music, audio clips, customized disk label and case cover.
What about music for your video? You select the songs for your video; however, you must own a copy of the song(s) and you cannot sell your video. Approximately one song is required for every 40 photos, but varies depending on the length of the song. We can usually compress or extend the transitions to make your photos fit the song, but we may ask you to select more music if necessary. Consider using song(s) that set the mood you would like to capture.
Can video clips be inserted? Yes. Simply describe each video event that you would like to include on the Project Order Form.
What is the approximate turn-around time for your order? Your order will be completed within 8-10 business days following receipt of all material.
What do you need to do? All you need to do is gather all your slides, photos or negatives from a particular event or time period, place them in an envelope with your order form and music CD, and then send them to us. You will not be charged for photos that are not used in your final production. We provide free pick-up and delivery service if you live in the Portland/Vancouver area,
We will transfer your slides and photos to a private website that you can access from your home computer. From this website, you will be able to arrange your slides and photos simply by moving them around. You can also add captions and titles as well as delete slides. This is so much easier than trying to organize and label your slides and photos on the dining room table. It can’t be any simpler than that.
What if you don't have a computer? Gather your slides, photos or negatives and follow the instructions below:
- Using a pencil, number the back of your photos in the correct order.
- For slides, write the appropriate number in the upper right-hand corner.
- If you are providing digital files, rename each file with the appropriate number (e.g., first photo 01.jpg; second photo 02.jpg).
- If you are using negatives, please include a note indicating the correct order. You may wish to place each set of negatives in a small envelope that includes instructions.

It is recommended that you send your photos using an insured, traceable method. Be sure to package your photos so that they will not be damaged. We will take the utmost care of your photos, and they will be returned in the same condition that we received them.
